The Commission, through the Registry of Historic Drinking Establishments, seeks to recognize and promote historic establishments all over the world. It will serve as a guide for travelers who appreciate history and choose to immerse themselves (NPI) in historic places. The Registry is open for folks all over the world to nominate their most beloved historic bar, pub, juke joint, speakeasy, honky tonk, beer joint, dance hall, dive bar, disco, ice house, etc. below.
Considered by many as Houston's oldest Bar. The building was built in the 1860's.
This wine bar has a well-worn interior, featuring a great juke box, an old-fashioned cash machine, and candles dripping with years of wax. It has has remained true to its mid-20th-century charm
